America's Cup 2013

Plans are underway to produce a series of America's Cup paintings during the event. San Francisco Bay
is the absolute perfect spot for the Cup, wind, tides, magnificent scenery and "not a bad seat in the house".

With the generous help of our friends at the Richmond Yacht Club we have run the proposed course
and photographed backgrounds in preparation for the painting series and we anticipate producing at least
two paintings each day of the Louis Vuitton and the America's Cup. Ellen Hoke from the Golden Gate Yacht Club
is providing photos of the boats

Occasionally we artists screw up! Being a stranger to San Francisco Bay I am not
familiar with local wind and tide patterns. A friend who lives on the Bay caught my error.

Winds in the bay blow the other way! Local Knowledge! So this one goes to the trash and we start over!
